50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
Earlier this month at Bargo Sports Club in my electorate, we marked a poignant milestone: the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Representing the council and speaking alongside our veterans, I was deeply moved by the ceremony. The haunting tones of a didgeridoo and the presence of our current soldiers lent weight to our tribute to the 60,000 brave Australians who served. The cost of this conflict is still felt by our veterans and their families, both physically and mentally. I extend my sincere gratitude to Bargo Sports Club for hosting this vital commemoration. Their support ensures that the sacrifices of our Vietnam veterans remain in our collective memory, a lesson and reminder for us all. Lest we forget.
