New Scoreboard at Victoria Park.
I am thrilled to share the news of the official opening of the new scoreboard at Victoria Park last month. It was an honour to be in the company of Mayor Matt Gould, Deputy Mayor Matthew Deeth and Cr Michael Banasik for this momentous occasion. The scoreboard, named in tribute to Merv and Freda Davies, stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment to the club. The presence of the Davies family, including several active members of the Magpies, added a special touch to the event. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the juniors and seniors club, as well as the Picton Magpies Old Boys, for their fundraising efforts and dedication in bringing this project to fruition. Furthermore, I want to express my appreciation to the numerous local businesses who generously donated their time, materials, and services at cost, ensuring the success of this project. The new scoreboard at Victoria Park symbolises the spirit of community and shared commitment to our local sports clubs, enhancing the game-day experience for players, supporters, and spectators alike. Thank you to everyone involved. Your collective efforts have created a lasting legacy for the Picton Magpies and the entire community.
