Picton Botanic Garden will soon see the much anticipated opening of its new Outdoor Performance Stage. Funded through the Stage Government, this stage will open the park to many more opportunities for community engagement, through its use for performances, presentations and events. Incorporating amenities along with a big screen, this facility will be well used throughout the year for both community events and private functions. Assets such as these allow for people to engage with their local parks and open spaces, and create a sense of ownership. Strengthening the identity of Picton by invigorating its public spaces, the Outdoor Performance Space will also build resilience within the community by providing place to come together and serving as a landmark and point of pride.
