Community Recognition - Wollondilly Women in Business Network

13th September 2023.

Wollondilly Women in Business Network.

The eighth milestone birthday for The Wollondilly Women in Business Network was celebrated at Vaby's Restaurant in Picton, drawing nearly 70 local businesswomen to celebrate the occasion. Founded by Michelle Legg, WWIB filled the evening with warmth and inspiration. Special honors were given to foundation members for their service. The WWIB network's substantial accomplishments include winning the 2022 Australian Women's Business Champions Awards, launching a new website, rebranding its social media, and growing into an organisation with nearly 200 members representing a diverse array of business sectors. Michelle's reflections on lifelong friendships and expanded networks underscore WWIB's vibrant community spirit. The network has also announced a partnership with South32 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal to set up free Business Bricks workshops. These workshops are open to all and designed to help established businesses and start-ups enhance their skillsets and foundational knowledge. The offering ranges from topics on finance, marketing, human resources to strategic networking, and more, with exciting incentives like free WWIB membership and a chance to win a $1,000 Business Boost. WWIB's continued commitment to empowerment, creativity, and growth is a testament to its enduring impact on the business community in Wollondilly.
