Media Release - Preschool for New Wilton Junction Public School Welcomed

The NSW State Government announcement for the construction of new preschools within primary schools has been welcomed today by Judy Hannan MP.

“It is very exciting that the planned new Primary School that will soon be starting construction at Wilton Junction South West will have a Preschool for the community to use.”

“Unfortunately, this commitment while welcomed does not cover the need for education facilities for my community. More than half of the students locally travel outside of the area for schooling, we have only a single Public High School in the Wollondilly Council Area and the community is growing today.”

“I thank the Government for remembering Wollondilly this time and I hope this marks a change and we look forward to more infrastructure that we need for my community today and the new residents that will move here tomorrow.”

The NSW Government has committed to Co-located at public primary school sites, the new public preschools will be built over the next three years in areas of greatest need across NSW. The NSW Government is investing $769 million to deliver 100 new public preschools by 2027, including delivering preschools at new public primary schools.
