Notice of Motion - Retrofitting for Environmental Benefits.
That this House:
(1) Notes the BASIX Rating point system directs landowners and builders towards best practice building compliance for construction.
(2) Recognises there are alterations to downgrade BASIX bonus points for Natural Gas due to come in place next year, a bipartisan policy of the former and current Governments.
(3) Calls on the Government to review BASIX and energy efficient ratings for homes to ensure solar and renewable technologies such as charging points for EVs in homes are best practice globally are recognised in NSW policies.
