Tahmoor Inn's $15 Malaysian stir-fry noodles have caught the attention of the AHA NSW Awards for Excellence judges, earning a nomination in the "Cheap Eats under $15" category. Out of over 30 entries, this affordable and authentic dish stands out for its well-balanced flavours of dark soy, noodles, chicken, chili, and vegetables. General Manager Sarah Hanania expressed pride in the nomination, highlighting the pub's commitment to serving quality food while providing exceptional customer service. Introduced last May by executive chef Thuong Dang, the Malaysian stir-fry aims to offer something different from the usual $15 pub specials like steaks and burgers. Hanania emphasised the importance of affordability, especially in a market where the cost of living is rising. "We want to make sure people can still go out and have a nice meal without breaking the bank," she said. With the winner to be announced on October 31, the Tahmoor Inn continues to serve its community with an offering that is as budget-friendly as it is delicious.
