Election 2023 - Judy's Newsletter #1

Friday 6th January 2023.

Dear all,

I wanted to thank you for being a part of my upcoming state election campaign.

The election date is March 25th

We have less than 3 months to build our campaign for change in our electorate of Wollondilly and the Southern Highlands

I am running as an Independent, and I cannot do it without you. Last time, we nearly secured victory, with 45.5% of the vote. This time, we are working doubly hard to win and I want you to be a part of it.

Many of you will ask, "What can an independent do?”

Well, I had many well wishers for New Years Eve but was particularly happy to see one from my friend Dai Le Independent for Fowler and to see the contribution she has made to government. Even locally she has managed to get Air Conditioning and WiFi into the local hospital. Having an Independent will pay off in spades in our electorate. I intend to be that force for our community.

I am inviting you to join one of the upcoming events, listed here:

Picton • Memorial Park, Argle St, (near the Bowling Club)  14th January 11.30am

Come and meet with like minded people over a sausage sandwich and share you concerns and ideas with Judy.

Warragamba / Silverdale • Dam Break Cafe, Fourteenth St, Warragamba  21st January 11.00am

Mittagong • Lake Alexandra Reserve Park, 20 Queen Street, Mittagong  22nd January • 11.00am

At these events we will take questions, enjoy some refreshments, and have some free campaign merchandise. Then some of us will go out and ask local voters what they want from their local representative.

This door knocking initiative is what will separate our campaign from the major parties. Asking voters what is important to them is a very insightful and uplifting experience. And I am inviting you to come with me to canvass these neighbourhoods.

This is how Independents won seats across the country in the federal election.

We will win by building community, and enjoying ourselves.

And if you think you know someone else who might be interested, please forward them this post and encourage them to come.

I've been out and about across our electorate speaking with voters and stakeholders. Listening and hearing about voter concerns. This has included meeting with the Preservation Club in Warragamba, Robert Khan in Picton and Duncan in Mittagong. I would also love your help to engage with other community members. Can you round up local folk for a round table discussion to tell me what they want?

I cannot win this campaign without your support.

I am asking you to donate to my campaign. It's a fact of campaigning. Money buys advertising and this educates the electorate about who is running. Please donate whatever you feel comfortable with here. judyhannan.com.au

I'd be honoured if you would register as a Volunteer and join me on this incredible journey.

Thank you for your support!

Kindest regards,

Judy Hannan
