Congratulations to Bowral Cricket Club, which has successfully secured a grant under the NSW Local Sport Grants Program 2023/24. The grant, worth $5500, will provide the womens and girls' teams with gear, uniforms and equipment such as game-day and training shade canopies. Bowral Cricket Club is famous for being the home of Australian cricketing legend Donald Bradman, and the club is brimming with cricketers making a name for themselves, living up to the legendary reputation set by The Don. Established in 1883, it is the biggest cricket club in the Southern Highlands, and junior and senior teams in all divisions and age ranges. Bowral Cricket Club is a member of the Highlands District Cricket Association, the Southern Districts Zone, and NSW Cricket Association and has their home grounds at Bradman Oval and Stephens Park Bowral. The club benefits from the countless hours of contributions by volunteers, and I'm delighted to have been able to support this well-deserved funding. I know it will make a huge difference to the club members and community. Well done.
