Bowral & District Hospital Cancer Treatment And Infusion Centre

BOWRAL & DISTRICT HOSPITAL CANCER TREATMENT and INFUSION CENTRE

SIGN THE PETITION HERE

Bowral and District Hospital provides a vital service for residents living in the Highlands and surrounds, recently undergoing a series of upgrades seeing the hospital expanded and brought to a modern standard. However, the hospital is still lacking in sufficient cancer treatment options.

The insufficient facilities currently means that some patients undergoing treatment are sent out of the area to Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals to receive their treatment, creating an additional burden of travel for those who are already unwell.

To address this, I am advocating for a Cancer Treatment and Infusion Centre to be provided in the Public Bowral Hospital, providing much needed Cancer Treatment Chairs in Bowral for locals to receive their cancer treatments close to home. Community group Public Health First, CWA Wollondilly Group and CanAssist Southern Highlands, have been tirelessly campaigning for a cancer treatment option at Bowral Hospital, and Bowral-Mittagong Rotary have also come on board in support.

I have brought this issue to the State Parliament through representations to the Minister, speeches and Question to the Government, highlighting the need for these cancer treatment chairs to serve the needs of the population now and into the future. Please show your support by signing the petition. This will be presented to Parliament to reinforce the advocacy work already done by community groups, and to show the community agrees with the need for more cancer treatment options in the Highlands.
