Community Recognition - Barrallier Park Water Play Unveiled with A Splash

20th September, 2024.

Residents of the Oaks and Wollondilly at large can look forward to cooling down this summer at the brand new Barrallier Park Water Play in the Oaks. I joined Wollondilly Shire Council Mayor Matt Gould, the Federal member for Hume the Hon. Angus Taylor MP, Councillors, and Council staff for the unveiling and testing on the 1st August 2024 and I can say, having given it a go myself - albeit with an umbrella given the sunny but chilly weather - I am confident that it will be a hit. The park is the result of all three levels of Government, Federal, State and Local, working together to achieve the objectives of the plan. Funding was granted from the NSW State government, the Commonwealth Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and a contribution from Council. It is exciting to see such a fantastic new addition to the Wollondilly electorate. Barrallier Park features fountains, change rooms and is accessible, making it welcoming to all. Once the weather warms up with spring and summer just around the corner, I can't wait to see residents of all ages enjoy this unique recreation facility.
