Community Recognition -Bridgerton in Bowral

9th May, 2024.

I can't think of a better place than Bowral, the charming country town, to have been chosen for the world premier of the latest season on Bridgerton. Over one week in April, Bowral looked even more beautiful with Corbett Gardens and Bong Bong Street decorated in the romantic Regency style. The Southern Highlands put on a show worthy of the Netflix sensation Bridgerton, which has charmed millions of viewers worldwide. Local favourite Empire Cinemas screened premiers of the third season, and locals and visitors attended a Regency-themed garden party at Milton Park with the stars of the show. Drawing many visitors to the town, the event has spotlighted two significant sites in the Highlands, historic Milton Park Country House and Retford park, the instantly recognizable pink heritage manor, donated to National Trust NSW by James Fairfax. I would like to recognise the many local businesses who got behind this event, showing their support by decorating their storefronts, offering Bridgerton themed activities and showing the world the best that the Highlands has to offer.
