Community Recognition - Bryn Wiseman, Highlands Symphony Orchestra

26th May, 2026.

I was delighted to attend an inspiring afternoon with the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra where a highlight was young soloist Bryn Wiseman, 18 years old, whose musical journey is already incredibly impressive. From beginning violin at three and a half, to studying under some well‑respected mentors and earning recognition for his compositions, Bryn represents the depth of emerging talent in our region. It was a delight to meet Bryn during the interval and hear more about his passion for both classical violin and jazz saxophone — a true reflection of his dedication and versatility. Bryn has performed in a wide range of ensembles, including the Young Mannheim, the HICES Festival Orchestra, the HICES Jazz Ensemble and the Roma Strings. As a soloist he has performed as part of the Musica Floreat concerts at St Jude's in Bowral during the Bowral Autumn Music Festival. Since 2024 Bryn has been an active member of the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his violin studies Bryn is an active Jazz saxophonist performing regularly alongside post graduate students at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts Sydney. His developing career reflects his love for music and performance.
