Congratulations to Christopher Xegas of the Oaks, who has been named a finalist in the category of School-based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year in the NSW Department of Education 2025 Training Awards. Through his school-based traineeship, Christopher Xegas has been able to understand the scope of aged care and gain experience to make a real impact in the industry. A dedicated student, he has developed a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of elderly residents. His proactive attitude and strong work ethic have made him a valuable member of his workplace, and his ability to connect with residents and colleagues has earned him great respect from those he cares for. His commitment to personal growth is evident in his willingness to seek feedback and continuously improve. His compassion and confidence have grown throughout his training, which has made him an enthusiastic advocate for the sector.
