Picton Sportsground was bristling with excitement on Sunday 18th August as the annual Dilly Doggy Day Out attracted packs of Wollondilly residents and their beloved four‑legged friends. The event was a joyful celebration of the bond between pets and their owners, with a diverse range of activities and attractions catering to every canine companion. Stallholders offered a range of pet products, treats, and accessories, while the agility arena provided an opportunity for dogs to showcase their skills and burn off some energy. Experts in canine care were also on hand, offering valuable advice to ensure the well-being of every pet in attendance. The event was a resounding success, thanks in no small part to the efforts of the Wollondilly Shire Council staff, who organised this much-loved annual community gathering. Their planning ensured that every detail was taken care of, from the layout of the stalls to the placement of oversized water troughs that kept all the dogs well-hydrated under the sunny skies. It was heartwarming to see so many residents enjoying a day dedicated to their furry friends, strengthening the sense of community in the Wollondilly region.
