Community Recognition - Father Sean Cullen's 40 Years of Service

15th August, 2024.

Catholic priest Father Sean Cullen marked 40 years of priesthood on August 4th, a significant milestone in his lifelong service to faith and community. A resident of the Highlands for 22 years, Fr Sean has devoted himself to the Corpus Christi Parish, including St Thomas Aquinas in Bowral and St Michael's in Mittagong. The mass held on the day was packed with parishioners there to celebrate and acknowledge the role of the important community and religious leader. Fr Sean's dedication and generosity is an inspiration, and the positive impacts of his work is seen throughout the community, from his time starting out in Camden, Wollongong and Ingleburn, to the Southern Highlands that he has called home for over 2 decades. The celebratory mass was followed by a gathering at the Mittagong RSL attended by the Bishop of Wollongong, Brian Mascord and siblings of Fr Sean. His dedication is much celebrated among his parishioners who, along with his faith and humility, appreciate his dry sense of humour. Thank you Fr Sean for being a steady and reliable presence, and for all the good work that you do in the community.
