Gumnut Patisserie celebrated their 30 year anniversary in October. Established in 1995 by pastry chefs Tracy and Vicki Nickl, Gumnut Patisserie has become one of the Southern Highlands most visited and most loved destinations. Tracy, Vicki and their team of dedicated chefs including sons Josh and William Nickl are driven to produce goods that are of the highest quality, sourcing the best ingredients and industry leading techniques to create their famous pastries. Their hard work is evident in each unfaultable product that makes it to the display shelves of their Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima stores. Beyond making their delicious pastries, Tracy and Vicki pride themselves on inspiring the next generation of pastry chefs through training young apprentices who have gone on to work far and wide, taking their skills, discipline and drive for excellence learnt at Gumnut to the world. Gumnut is also a regular winner of industry awards and has implemented many sustainability initiatives. Gumnut Patisserie is well deserving of their excellent reputation, and I wish them all the best for many more decades of success. May we all live by their motto - 'Life's short, eat dessert first'.
