Congratulations to the 18 scholarship recipients at the Illawarra Academy of Sport Scholarship presentation on 28 November 2024. Representing a diverse range of sports—hockey, cycling, mountain biking, athletics, triathlon, and netball—the dedication and talent of the athletes are truly inspiring. It was wonderful to share the occasion with Wingecarribee Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick, Wingecarribee Councillors Sara Moylan and James Farrell, and IAS representatives President Sharon Wingate and CEO Salv Carmusciano. A special thank-you to Pixie Hanson for delivering such an inspiring and humorous Athlete's Address—it set a wonderful tone for the event. I look forward to catching up with all the athletes in 12 months to hear about their sporting journeys. Best wishes to the Academy for the year ahead—may it be filled with incredible experiences and achievements!
