Community Recognition - Kaleidoscope Festival Mittagong

11th February, 2025.

On Saturday 16th November Mittagong held its first ever Kaleidoscope Festival, a street party to unite the community in the joy of music, food and art. Organised by the Wingecarribee Shire Council, this event was made possible by funding from the NSW Government's Open Streets Program led by Transport for NSW. It featured music, family focused activities, food stalls and performances. Several streets were closed and taken over by festival goers, who were treated to a full day of vibrant performances, craft stalls, art displays, acrobatics, and face-painting. The multicultural elements of the highlands were showcased, with Chinese and Vietnamese Lion and Dragon Dance, Southern Highland Irish Dance, Spanish Flamenco Dancing and Samba Ninjas. Congratulations to the Wingecarribee Shire Council Team for your efforts in making this festival happen, it was a great success.
