Ngununggula is a regional art gallery located in the historic grounds of Retford Park in the Southern Highlands. This not-for-profit gallery was established in collaboration with the State Government, the National Trust NSW, Wingecarribee Shire Council, and the local community. The gallery, its learning spaces and beautiful grounds are used and visited extensively by locals and visitors to the area, and it was the setting for the Annual Foundation Gala Fundraiser. This event raised money to provide support for the gallery’s school education and community outreach programs, which are making art more accessible to the local community and allowing students to enjoy the creativity and self expression that comes with exploring the world of art.
I enjoyed spending the evening with familiar faces, enjoying fine dining, art, culture, music, and conversation about what matters to people in NSW and Wollondilly. Thank you to all the generous donors who donated prizes. Well done to the Ngununggula team for not only your hard work in bringing the night together but also your work throughout the whole year - the gallery is outstanding, and goes from strength to strength thanks to you and the support of the community.
