Burradoo resident Peter Andrew Roach is a worthy recipient of an Order of Australia Medal 2026 Australia Day Honours list. Mr Roach's community involvement covers more than twenty years, beginning with an 18-year tenure on the board of Knox Grammar School, including almost six years as chair. He is currently chair of Ravenswood School for Girls. Peter serves on the board of the Southern Highlands Community Foundation, which provides grants to charities supporting people across the Wingecarribee Shire. The Southern Highlands Community Foundation works hard to build a community that is kind and connected. A community that is giving and helps those in need. As a registered charity and public foundation, it is governed by a board of directors. All of whom are respected members of the Southern Highlands community who generously donate their time to assist with the governance of the foundation. Mr Roach is also involved in a private family ancillary fund supporting initiatives in Papua New Guinea and with UCI Redress, which assists survivors of abuse through the redress process. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
