I recently attended the official launch of Picton Buslines' Cashless Ticketing System at their Picton depot. I was impressed by the sheer collaboration of six organisations including Transport for NSW to establish a ticketless and cashless system for local commuters. The new system is available onboard all Picton Buslines' bus fleet meaning commuters can simply tap on and off from phones and selected cards with available credit/debit funds. A similar ticketing system was installed by Berrima buslines for members in the Southern Highlands area. The cashless ticketing system is a straightforward process and continues to make commuting affordable to our local community. Bus drivers can focus on their job, driving safely and passengers can board more efficiently without the need for handling coins or notes.
