Picton Botanic Gardens, already a favourite with locals and visitors from near and far, has even more to offer now with the unveiling of the Play Space on the 8th July, 2024. Members of Wollondilly Shire Council were present along with the Member for Hume Angus Taylor to celebrate the official opening of the park. The park sees another achievement of the Council in their efforts to provide more parks and recreational facilities in Wollondilly. It is part of the Picton Parklands Masterplan. The upgrades were possible thanks to funding from the Federal and NSW State Government Bushfire Local Economy Recovery Fund and NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program as well as a contribution from Council. The Picton Botanic Gardens offers facilities for a range of ages and abilities to enjoy, and along with its beautiful gardens and naturescape will continue to be a popular and highly visited park well into the future.
