Wagga Wagga was the location of the Country Women's Association (CWA) of NSW annual state conference State Conference held from May 19 to 22, 2025. Members of the Picton CWA were in attendance, and participated in the conference discussing motions that addressed a range of issues relevant to rural, regional, and remote communities in New South Wales biosecurity improvements, housing needs, and food donations, showing the CWA’s commitment to contributing to their communities.
The conference included displays of handicraft, cookery, and cultural displays and I wish to congratulate Picton CWA members Sue Donohoe, Karen Cairndoff, Maureen D, Cathy Standen and Janeen Jackson for their entries, which were proudly on display.
The CWA play an important role in creating community connections, and their volunteering efforts to improve the lives of those around them is admirable.
