I recognise Debbie Hunt for her outstanding contribution to Wollondilly Shire Council over many years of dedicated service. Debbie has worked for Council since 2008, holding a number of roles during that time, including serving as Executive Officer to the Chief Executive Officer and supporting seven different Mayors, including myself at one stage. Her experience, professionalism and steady guidance have been invaluable through periods of change and leadership. I have known Debbie for most of those years and had the privilege of working closely with her for several of them. Deb has always been a kind and caring person, with exceptional personnel management skills, often walking those Mayors through the processes and responsibilities of the role with patience and good judgement. She is respected and appreciated by those around her, and her presence has made a lasting impact across the organisation. Debbie has now made the decision to retire after many years of service, and she will be sorely missed. I thank her for her contribution and wish her all the very best in retirement.
