After 15 years as Captain of Silverdale Rural Fire Brigade, Barbara Jolley has chosen to step down as brigade captain, marking the end of an extraordinary chapter for our brigade and community. She has led Silverdale through some of the most challenging periods in history, including the devastating 2019‑20 bushfires, major flood events, and hundreds of calls in between. Her leadership, dedication and commitment to both the brigade and the community have left a lasting impact. Under Barbara's leadership the brigade has grown significantly, strengthened its capabilities and evolved into the brigade it is today. We are pleased that she will continue to serve the brigade as senior deputy captain, with her experience and leadership continuing to be an invaluable part of the brigade. I take this opportunity to thank Barbara for her remarkable 15 years serving as Captain of Silverdale RFS and the local community.
