PICTON HIGH SCHOOL YEAR 12 GRADUATION

Mrs JUDY HANNAN (Wollondilly)—Congratulations to the Picton High School Year 12 - Class of 2026. I had the pleasure of attending Picton High's Year 12 Graduation Ceremony. During the wonderful speeches, there was one line that resonated with me. Bowen Murray, Year 12 School Captain said, 'the most important thing is to be true to yourself.' This quote refers to the most powerful skill possessed by Year 12 graduates because it provides an unshakeable anchor as they transform from the structured rules of schools into an unpredictable world. A world for the younger generation to thrive and achieve. This Year 12, 2026 cohort demonstrated their authenticity and resilience from their beginnings at Picton High School when students were welcomed by teachers on zoom behind a computer screen. The graduating class have flourished in their talents and skills. I was delighted to witness their final performance, their last songs, laughter and moments. Thank you graduates and the whole of the Picton High School community for organising the special moments within the ceremony and to the students who received various academic excellence awards, athletic performance awards, and the marvellously musical moments. All the best in your HSC exams.
