Congratulations go to Professor Timothy Entwisle of Bowral, who has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia in the General Division as part of the King's Birthday Honours for 2026. He received his honour for his distinguished services to environmental conversation, to botanical sciences, to the media, to tertiary education, and to the community. Over the years, Professor Entwisle has served organisations such as Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, the Council of Heads of Australian Botanic Gardens, served as a post-doctoral research fellow at Melbourne University and as an adjunct professor at Sydney University, patronised organisations such as the Australian Garden History Society and the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens. He has been a regular contributor to the ABC and local radio and has authored four publications and co-edited three volumes of Flora of Victoria. Professor Entwisle has dedicated a large portion of his life to serving causes he is passionate about and the Wollondilly community extends its gratitude to him for all he has done for conservation, botany, tertiary education and the community. We warmly congratulate Professor Timothy Entwisle AO on his well-deserved honour.
