Community Recognition Statement - Wollondilly Anglican College

4th August, 2026.

I attended the Wollondilly Anglican College Council Dinner and met with members of the College Council, Headmaster Mr Trevor Norman, and the College executive. As Wollondilly continues to grow, schools such as Wollondilly Anglican College play an increasingly important role — not only in education, but in shaping character, leadership, compassion and community values. Mr Norman delivered a thoughtful devotion focused on resilience, reflecting on the concept of endurance and perseverance. His message was a timely reminder that resilience is not simply about enduring challenges, but about growing through them with faith, strength and purpose. It was wonderful to reflect on how far the College has come since its early years, and to acknowledge the dedication of staff, families and the wider school community who continue to contribute so much to the lives of young people in our region. In a time of rapid change and population growth, the values of service, kindness, and stewardship remain more important than ever. I thank the College Council for the opportunity to speak about the future of Wollondilly and the importance of continuing to build connected, caring and strong communities for generations to come.
