4th August, 2026.
I recognise the exceptional achievement of a wonderful organisation, Wollondilly Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), who has recently been awarded with a trophy for 40 Years of Service to the Community, presented at the 2026 NSW Riding for the Disabled Association AGM. The NSW RDA itself has been running for 53 years, making Wollondilly RDA one of the longest standing branches. Having served disabled riders and their carers for 4 decades, Wollondilly RDA has created a sense of community among its participants, who have discovered the joy of equine activities. The Wollondilly RDA is run by volunteers, and it is thanks to the years of contributions of the volunteers that so many have benefitted from this organisation. RDA is committed to safety, inclusion and community connection. They are a not-for-profit and the programs they run for people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities offer therapeutic and recreational benefits along with opportunities for participation in sporting events, helping individuals improve physical strength, coordination, confidence, and mental well-being. Congratulations Wollondilly Riding for the Disabled Association for reaching this impressive milestone.
