Alex Hawkins moved to the Wollondilly electorate in 2015 and has always been an advocate for her local community. She works hard to make a difference to small business in the local area. Through her role with Business Connect, she has represented small business at many events, forums and seminars, sharing issues and working through solutions for small businesses. She worked hard to keep local businesses up and running through more than one local disaster, providing guidance and support where it was needed most. She was never far away from the front line, either by phone or at the local cafe, talking with and helping people get through hard times. Her core beliefs focus on working together, listening and collaborating to find the best possible outcome for all. Before the Government closed the Business Connect program, Alex played an integral role in providing access to tailored advice in one-on-one sessions on topics such as business planning, marketing and cash flow from independent advisers who had experience running their own businesses and qualifications in a business‑related discipline. I wish Alex the best in her new ventures and thank her for everything she has done for business in Wollondilly.
