Brent was recently appointed Executive Board Director of Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce. The Taskforce is the region's peak industry body representing hotels, tour groups, and hospitality businesses to ensure the region's potential is recognised by government, industry partners and visitors. Brent Hilbrick Watson is a Wollondilly resident, tourism business operator, recipient of multiple tourism industry awards and of course, Brent is a passionate advocate for promoting and positioning Western Sydney as a premier local, regional and international visitor destination. Brent's involvement in the taskforce and particularly his new appointment is centred on elevating Western Sydney as a premier destination, particularly in the lead-up to the opening of the Western Sydney International (WSI) Airport later this year. This year is an exciting time to connect businesses, industry, government and visitors. The NSW Government should continue supporting the works of Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce, especially Taskforce's leadership and dedication to showcasing Western Sydney's strengths. I am pleased Brent will be present to lead the Taskforce, driving visitation and investment to coincide with the opening of Western Sydney International Airport and major infrastructure projects connecting visitors and businesses to the Airport.
