Colin was recently nominated to receive the 2026 Australia Day Award. Colin is a freemason at Picton Lodge and held membership for over 40 years. Colin is a dedicated volunteer in the community raising money for charities. He rolled up his sleeves at Bunnings Warehouse sausage sizzle, Thirlmere Steam Festival, Illuminate Wollondilly and debutante balls. Colin sold raffle tickets for charitable causes and proactively supported local residents' needs. For example Colin raised funds to cover the airfares for a young named Lachlan to travel to Japan. Another example is Colin's regular support towards the Sports Award at Picton High School.
