I recognise the Picton Magpies following the success of their recent NRL's Back Sportsman's Long Lunch, where it was fantastic to see such strong support for the Picton Magpies Old Boys, Magpies Junior Football Club and Picton Magpies Senior Rugby League Football Club. There was a real sense of momentum around the club, and it is exciting to look ahead to another positive year. Events like this highlight the incredible commitment of players, supporters and the wider community, all contributing to future planning and improvements across both junior and senior levels. The club continues to make great progress toward delivering a Masterplan for Victoria Park, and it is clear there is strong backing to bring that vision to life. I extend a big thank you to the many sponsors who made the day possible, including major sponsor Narellan Pools Australia, the George IV Inn team for the outstanding catering, and Charlies of Tahmoor for the refreshments. It was another great turnout for a club that continues to go from strength to strength, and an excellent venue at the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre helped make the day a success.
