Community Recognition - Tahmoor Primary School Parli-Flix Success

18th November, 2025.

Congratulations to Tahmoor Public School whose film premiered at the Parli-Flicks Premier Screening of the Statewide Competition finalists, held at NSW Parliament House on Wednesday, 6 November 2025. This special event, hosted in the historic Jubilee Room, showcased five exceptional finalists selected from 88 entries across NSW. The 2025 theme, "What do I value about democracy?", invited students to explore the meaning and importance of democratic values. The Parli-Flicks Short Film Awards, hosted annually by the Parliament of NSW, challenge Years 5–12 students to create a one-minute film highlighting Australia's Westminster system and the role of parliament in our community. It was inspiring to witness the creativity and insight of these young minds. Congratulations to Principal Mr Dean Kellaway, the dedicated teachers, and proud parents who supported these talented students. Their commitment to civic engagement is commendable. Tahmoor Public School also fosters leadership through its annual "School Parliament," with 18 Front Bench Members representing portfolios such as Environment, Sport, Technology, and more. Well done to our students, you are the leaders of tomorrow.
