Community Recognition - Troy Sitkowski

4th February, 2026.

Troy Sitkowski's introduction to trampoline gymnastics began at the age of nine, when he joined Gymnastic Kids in Picton. Growing from a determined beginner into an elite athlete, he reached a major milestone in 2023 at just 18 years old, earning selection for his first Trampoline World Championships and securing an impressive sixth place in Double Mini Trampoline [DMT]. His international experience also includes appearances at the World Age Group Championships in Japan and Bulgaria, and over more than a decade of Australian National Championship campaigns. A lifelong member of the Wollondilly community, Troy has proudly represented Australia on some of the sport's biggest stages. In 2023 he was chosen as the sole male DMT athlete to compete at the World Games in China, and later that year contributed to Australia's silver medal in the DMT team event at the World Championships in Pamplona, Spain. Alongside his athletic commitments, Troy completed a diploma in exercise and sports science and is now progressing through a Bachelor of Commerce. Within NSW's Trampoline Gymsport Committee, Troy plays an important advisory role. In recognition of his achievements, he was named Wollondilly Shire Council's 2026 Young Citizen of the Year.
