For those of you who don't know the Men's Shed movement has become one of the most powerful tools in addressing health and wellbeing, helping men to feel like valued & productive members of our community. Warradale Men's Shed in Warragamba was officially opened in October 2013 but was running out of Warragamba Town Hall for almost three years before that. This shed continues to grow and attract new members. This year these men have worked with Wollondilly Library and Warragamba Public School to create an inspiring new program This program brings groups of children into the shed to share stories of the past and to learn how to safely use tools and create things that are unique and that they can say "I made that". The Principal and the students involved can't praise the program highly enough. Men can just come and have a yarn and a cuppa if that is all they're looking for. Members of Men's Sheds come from all walks of life – the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and would like something meaningful to do with that time.
