I wish to congratulate William and Rosemary Chapple of Picton on reaching the milestone of their 70th wedding anniversary. Celebrating a 70th wedding anniversary is a platinum occasion, and is a demonstration of strength and enduring love. This is certainly the case for Mr and Mrs Chapple, whose matrimony began on 10 September 1955 at the Anglican Church in East Willoughby. This occasion has been marked with congratulatory messages from The King, the Governor-General of Australia, the Governor of New South Wales, the Premier, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and myself. It is always a privilege to present these certificates, and I am always heartened by anniversaries of this magnitude. Again, Happy Anniversary!
