The Wollondilly Fellowship of Australian Writers is a community of writers who regularly join together to share their passion for writing, and I was pleased to host them in my electorate office for their monthly meeting for a poetry reading. The writers shared their favourite pieces, and engaged in insightful discussion of poetry, politics and what matters to the people of Wollondilly. Though writing is often a solo activity, the Wollondilly Fellowship of Australian Writers allows like minded creatives to form connections and create a community. They are a chapter of the Fellowship of Australian Writers New South Wales, which brings together experienced writers with emerging talents, providing opportunities for mentorship across the state. One of nearly thirty branches located throughout metropolitan and regional areas, the organisation welcomes all to join, and hosts writing workshops, events and competitions. For anyone with a passion for writing, the Wollondilly Fellowship of Australian Writers offers an inviting platform to share ideas, explore diverse perspectives, and enrich their craft.
