Community Recognition - Wollondilly Anglican College School Zone Change for Improved Safety

8th May, 2024.

Following calls from the Wollondilly Anglican College community, the School Zone at Remembrance Driveway, Tahmoor, has been extended to include the arrival of school buses from 7.30am. School zones are there to protect students, alerting motorists of the increased traffic and risks. The extension of this zone will mean that the school drop off times will be in line with bus arrivals and will ensure that it is safer for the students. "We are so pleased that Roads NSW have agreed to the request and have implemented a non-standard School Zone outside Wollondilly Anglican College… The earlier start time for the school zone will dramatically improve safety outside the College" said Headmaster Trevor Norman. The new time zone demonstrates what can be achieved when a community of motivated individuals come together to enact a positive change. Thanks and recognition is also due to the many parents and community member who wrote letters in support of the change and shared their personal motivations for creating a safer environment for the children attending the school.
