It really makes my day when locals visit me while parliament is sitting - especially when it's members of one of our local schools. I was pleased to welcome the year 11 Legal Studies students from Wollondilly Anglican College to Parliament House on Wednesday 14th August. I am always heartened by the interest and energy of the high school students in Wollondilly. The students enjoyed the Legislative Assembly Question Time, and prior to that, we got to have a Q&A session in the NSW Parliament Education Centre. It was terrific to discuss the role of an Independent Member of the NSW Parliament and what it entails. The students asked many insightful questions, and I wish we could have continued the discussion for hours. I appreciate and welcome the voices and opinions of young people, and encourage their involvement in politics at all levels of Government. Thank you to the hardworking 'Education and Engagement Officers' at the NSW Department of Parliamentary Services, particularly Cameron Craig and his colleagues, for organising this connection.
