The inaugural Arts Alive Film Festival program showcased the performing arts talent of local primary school students. It included an impressive film, called 'The Paths We Choose' by the years 5 and 6 students from Warragamba school. I was blown away with the maturity and insight shown by the students as they used this opportunity to express what they had learnt on the topic of Choice Theory and Total Behaviour, exploring basic needs of survival, love and belonging, power, freedom and fun. The film festival took place at a movie theatres and the films were warmly received by proud parents, family members and friends. The festival had the support of the Sydney Opera House Creative Team, and gave students a unique opportunity to creative, produce, direct and act in a film of their own making.
Thanks to Warragamba Primary School teachers Belinda Allard, Leah Corner, Tayla Baker, Chris Szaitz, Emma Crocker and Danielle Dimech along with principal Lloyd Kusar, for encouraging students to achieve their best in their endeavours and for facilitating students to express themselves through the creative arts.
