Residents of Yerrinbool have access to a new public toilet, which was officially opened in early February. The accessible facility is located at M. F. Vickers Memorial Park, and was welcomed by Yerrinbool residents, including the Yerrinbool Village Collective who were active in engaging with Wingecarribee Shire Council throughout the consultation process. Their advocacy ensured that the views of the small and tight knit village residents were reflected in the final design and location. The location chosen is situated at the well kept and peaceful Memorial Park, a convenient distance from the Sunset Drive Playground and the Yerrinbool Railway Station.
Facilities such as these make a positive impact on people visiting the parks, playground and railway station, and provide convenience, safety and peace of mind for those who are out and about enjoying all our small and characterful villages have to offer. Thank you to Wingecarribee Shire council for providing this facility, and to the Yerrinbool Village Collective for your consistent efforts in advocating for your village needs and ensuring that Yerrinbool retains its community spirit.
