Judy Hannan MP has welcomed upgrade funding projects of $55 million for Bowral Hospital and $632 million Campbelltown Hospital.
“As an R U OK? Day Ambassador I recently called for more mental health services for our region and the upgrade of an additional $53.5 million towards Mental Health and Paediatrics at Campbelltown is wonderful to see” said Judy Hannan MP.
“What is key is these services need to have outreach services including those like PACER Clinician services that currently only cover part of my electorate”
“Communities like Wollondilly often miss out on funding for regions and for metro areas. The medical funding for our area has historically been lacking and I am hopeful this new funding changes things.”
On the Bowral Hospital Upgrade, Judy Hannan MP, “With Bowral hospital being the only hospital in Wollondilly, the funding for further upgrades is absolutely critical. Our growing population in the coming years will only see the pressure on the existing services, a matter I have already brought up with the Hon. Ryan Park, the Minister for Health.”
“The phases of Bowral hospital upgrades to date have been faced with delays and challenges, and I am hopeful that today’s budget allocations will strengthen the process. I am also looking forward to the visit by the Minister in the coming months” concluded Judy Hannan MP.
