Reacting to the recent ‘Update from Angus Taylor Federal Member for Hume’ Newsletter produced by the Federal Liberal Party, Independent Member for Wollondilly Judy Hannan MP today welcomed the commitment and seeks a bipartisan stance on the bypass.
“In a recent newsletter by Member for Hume and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor MP claimed “The Coalition Will Deliver the Picton Bypass”. While I welcome this announcement the details of how much funding the possible incoming Coalition Federal Government would bring to the table is still not clear” said Judy Hannan MP.
“To be fair the Federal Labor Government has also been silent on this. To date there has been very little from either Party Federally on this critical piece of infrastructure that will deliver safety for the community of Wollondilly” said Judy Hannan MP.
“The people of Wollondilly are sick of this merry-go-round every election cycle with candidates promising they will deliver the infrastructure. It is time the Picton Bypass receives by-partisan support” said Judy Hannan MP.
“I am convinced that my colleagues at the NSW State level understand the need for the Picton Bypass, I look forward to hearing from our Federal Member and the other candidates for Hume of what their party will be promising prior to asking us all to go to the polls” concluded Judy Hannan MP.
