Media Release - Funding for Travel Down Memory Lane

3rd March, 2025

The NSW Government is delivering $1000 funding to support The Oaks Historical Society Incorporated  with hosting exciting activities as part of this year’s NSW Seniors Festival.

The NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program backs initiatives which encourage people aged 60 or over to stay healthy, active, and connected to their community.

This funding will ensure The Oaks Historical Society Travel Down Memory Lane project will be a great success. The Society will hire a coach which seats 57 people and we will head off for a full day going to places our seniors went when they were younger but hold a lot of memories to reflect on and maybe share stories.

A total of 35 organisations and councils have received a share of $200,000 under the NSW Seniors Festival Grant Program to host activities this year.

The NSW Seniors Festival runs from Monday 3 March to Sunday 16 March 2025. To view the full list of recipients, visit https://www.nsw.gov.au/arts-and-culture/seniors-festival/about-contact/grants-program
