Judy Hannan MP today has welcomed the extension of the 50km/hr speed limit on Menangle Road to address safety concerns raised by the community.
“For too long residents of Durham Green, the Retirement Village of Menangle, have struggled to turn in and out of their village due to the speed zone of Menangle Road” said Judy Hannan MP.
“The change for this zone will make it easier not only for the residents of the retirement village but also Menangle residents who live along the busy stretch of road” continued Judy Hannan MP.
“I thank the community for advocating for this change” concluded Judy Hannan MP.
Work includes:
• extending the existing 50km/hr speed zone by approximately 250 metres southbound on Menangle Road.
• relocating the existing 50km/hr and 80km/hr speed zone signs and road markings on Menangle Road.
Work will commence on Tuesday 24 October 2023 between 7am to 5pm.
