Following calls from the Wollondilly Anglican College community, the School Zone at Remembrance Driveway, Tahmoor, is to be extended to include the arrival of school buses from 7.30am.
“School zones are there to protect students, alerting motorists of the increased traffic and risks. The extension of this zone will mean that the school drop off times will be in line with bus arrivals and will ensure that it is safer for the students” said Judy Hannan MP.
“We are so pleased that Roads NSW has agreed to the request to implement a non-standard School Zone outside Wollondilly Anglican College. We are thankful to the member for Wollondilly, Mrs Judy Hannan MP, for her advocacy on our behalf to bring about this decision. The earlier start time for the school zone will dramatically improve safety outside the College” said Headmaster Trevor Norman.
“During the time it takes for new signage to be installed, expected by the April Holidays, I ask everyone to please take care driving through the area” concluded Judy Hannan MP.
Signage is expected to be installed at the School during the Easter April Holidays.
