That this House:
(1) Notes the Hume Motorway bypasses Mittagong and Welby, with access to the towns via the Old Hume Highway has an on-off ramp in both directions at the northern Mittagong end, but only a south bound on ramp and north bound off ramp at the southern Welby end.
(2) Notes that the absence of the two ramps at Welby forces excess traffic, including heavy vehicles and large trucks, to travel through the township of Mittagong, impacting local traffic flow, safety, and amenity.
(3) Calls on the Government to fund the missing on and off-ramps at Welby.
