This past month marked an extraordinary achievement for the Picton Swim Club team, part of the Wollondilly Community Leisure Centre, as they took on the Metro South West Championships. The team's collective performance was nothing short of stellar, with 19 swimmers racking up a jaw-dropping 52 personal bests (PBs) and securing 19 spots in the Top 10 placings. A special round of applause goes to Lily B, who clocked her first-ever Metro time, a milestone that speaks volumes about her dedication and hard work. Additionally, several team members walked away with coveted medals. Jayden snagged 2 Gold and 2 Silver, while Callie clinched a Silver. Joe and Logan showcased their skill with 2 and 1 Bronze medals respectively, and Tiana also contributed with a Bronze to the team's haul. The astounding accomplishments not only echo the individual talents of the swimmers but also reflect the supportive and competitive spirit fostered within the club.
